Eliaquim Mangala is sitting by the telephone, waiting for the call which tells him to pack his suitcases and move to Valencia, report Marca in their Monday edition.
The Manchester City defender needs a new club and Valencia need a new defender, so the pieces fit perfectly.
Mangala had a loan spell with the Spanish club in the 2016-2017 season and he did pretty well. At several points there were claims he’d be staying there permanently but there was a lack of agreement on the cost of a move.
The 28 year old now finds himself at another crossroads, and Marca explained he’s already given his agreement to Valencia, so is now waiting for them to sort things out with Manchester City.
No further information is given by the Spanish newspaper on the cost of a move, although it is stated that quick movement is expected in talks which are currently ongoing.
Villarreal left back Jaume Costa is in a similar situation, also waiting to join Valencia.
