Following the agreement between São Paulo and Manchester City for the loan of Nahuel Ferraresi, the defender is now about to complete the move.

Lance reports that the player is arriving in Brazil on Monday, and the deal should be announced until Tuesday.

According to the story, Ferraresi is joining São Paulo on a one-year loan deal, for which the club won’t pay a fee, and will only afford his salary.

Then in case the defender does well, the Tricolor will have the chance to make the move permanent by paying Manchester City €6m.

Lance writes that Ferraresi is ‘one of the most awaited’ signings for manager Rogério Ceni, who’s in need of a new defender for the squad. So it’s indeed possible he could impress at the club and perhaps move on a permanent transfer, despite the big price for the Brazilian standards.

São Paulo had already signed Nahuel Bustos from Manchester City last week, and by bringing another player from the Premier League side, they prove the good relationship the two clubs have been building.
