Two months ago, claims from the English press had stated Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes could move to Saudi Arabia in the summer window.
Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr have been the two clubs credited with interest in the 30-year-old, who has two years left on his deal at the Etihad.
Journalist César Luis Merlo took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that Al-Nassr have now taken a step forward to try and sign the Manchester City player.
He claims the Middle East club have ‘made an offer’ to the goalkeeper. This includes a two-year deal with a total package worth €60m, which works out at €30m per year.
Al-Nassr are now waiting for the Brazilian international’s decision. César Luis Merlo further adds that if he were to give the green light, the Saudi club will seek to find an agreement with Manchester City for his transfer.
The journalist makes it clear this is his original information and it remains to be seen if this will be backed up by others in England and South America.
Ederson has been the first-choice stopper for Pep Guardiola since he joined the Premier League winners from Benfica in 2017.
