Earlier on Wednesday, Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo broke the news about Al-Nassr’s interest in Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
It was said the Saudi side are offering the player a two-year contract, in a €60m package, and a green light from him would encourage them to try a deal with the Premier League side.
Now FootMercato journalist Santi Aouna shares an update on that situation, and it seems there’s a chance Al-Nassr will open talks with Manchester City.
That’s because he says Ederson ‘is interested’ in joining the Saudi side, even though there’s no agreement with them yet.
Aouna claims the negotiations are on, with Al-Nassr having already made an initial offer to get the goalkeeper signed.
It now remains to be seen how much they would put on the table to get him, or how much Manchester City will demand for the sale.
Ederson has a contract with Pep Guardiola’s side running until 2026. Transfemarkt now has his market value at €35m, even though it used to be €35m some years ago. This should be an interesting chase to follow this summer.
