Fotomac report Fenerbahce have identified Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho as a target ahead of the Turkish transfer deadline.
It’s reported Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal is keen to sign an experienced player for the defensive midfield position and Marseille’s Luis Gustavo is said to be another option.
According to the Turkish newspaper, Manchester City could allow Fernandinho to leave the club especially after they signed Rodri from Atletico Madrid this summer.
Fenerbahce could reportedly take an advantage of this situation but Fotomac believe such an ambitious move is looking unlikely at this stage.
It’s claimed Fener are ready to wait until the end of the transfer window to sign either Fernandinho or Gustavo.
Fernandinho was a key player under Pep Guardiola last season, and it’s likely the manager would prefer he sticks around for the rest of the current campaign.
Rodri may well take his place, but it’s unlikely the Brazilian will be forced out.
