Manchester City defender Yan Couto is set to complete a move to Borussia Dortmund, with the two clubs now in complete agreement on a transfer.
That’s according to Sky Sports Germany, who report that the player has been given the ‘green light’ and will be flying out to join Dortmund’s pre-season training camp.
They say that Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement, which had been expected, on a deal for Couto to make the move to Germany this summer.
The right back is due to fly from Brazil to Switzerland on Thursday to link up with the Germans and will then undergo a medical before completing the move. He could be on the pitch with his new teammates in Bad Ragaz this week.
The two sides have actually struck a ‘clever loan deal’ with an obligation for Dortmund to buy him for €25m and he will sign a five-year contract with Champions League finalists.
He will become Dortmund’s third signing of the summer after Waldermar Anton and Serhou Guirassy, with a deal now in the final stages and his latest departure from Manchester City, again on loan, set to be completed.
