Manchester City have been linked with a potential move for Juventus’ Douglas Luiz in the past few days.
The midfielder was previously on the Citizens’ books for two years and spent a loan stint at Girona.
There is now said to be a concrete possibility that he could return to Manchester City, who are making attempts to land the Brazilian.
TuttoSport have reported today that Douglas Luiz’s agent Kia Joorabchian has been looking around at new clubs for weeks and has excellent relations with multiple sides in the Premier League.
Fulham knocked on the door in November and there is also reported interest from Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Chelsea. It is Manchester City who have come forward with an offer.
Pep Guardiola’s side have put forward an initial costly loan deal with the option to buy of €35m.
The midfielder is said to be tempted by the idea of being coached by Guardiola, having missed out on the chance during his time owned by City.
The move on offer is currently not convincing to Juventus, who would only consider a permanent sale or a loan with the obligation to buy.
The 26-year-old also harbours intentions of proving himself at the Italian giants. If he learns that he is not central to the project under Thiago Motta, a move to the Premier League can gain momentum.
