Manchester City and Barcelona are among the clubs keen to sign RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo this summer.
On Thursday, Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna reported Manchester City have made a bid for the 26-year-old. He also said Olmo’s agent has a meeting scheduled this weekend with the La Liga side.
Manchester City haven’t tabled a bid so far for Olmo if Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg is to be believed.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim the German club have ‘not yet received’ an official offer from Pep Guardiola’s side for the attacking midfielder.
Plettenberg insists that Manchester City are in the picture, and are keeping a close watch on the Spain international’s situation. He adds the Premier League winners ‘keep in touch’, likely with the player’s camp.
Barcelona are also keen on signing the Euro 2024 winner and they are currently ahead of Manchester City in the race. The Sky journalist claims the Catalan club have to make an improved offer to secure Olmo’s services, without mentioning Leipzig’s demand.
Earlier this month, Bild reported Leipzig are ready to sell the star for €60m this summer.
