The Argentine media continues to link Manchester City to River Plate defender Lucas Martinez Quarta.

It’s Telam who today has a very complete piece about all the stars who could leave the Buenos Aires side in the next transfer window.

When starting the story, first speaking of players such as Ignacio Scocco, the outlet even writes that they got the information from their own sources when writing the piece.

Telam then brings a paragraph on Quarta, saying ‘an interest from Manchester City exists’, pointing out that the player is protected by a release clause of US$22m.

That amount had previously been reported in Euros, so perhaps the player could end up being a little cheaper than expected.

Telam writes ‘it’s been said’ that Nicolas Otamendi could be used by Manchester City as an asset to decrease Quarta’s price.

But they don’t seem to have real information on that, despite pointing out that the 32-year-old has previously claimed his wish to play for River Plate, and hasn’t been getting many minutes at the Premier League side.
