Manchester City ‘have started to attack’ the signing of Andrea Cambiaso and ‘got serious’ with their efforts to sign him from Juventus.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who report that Manchester City are going full force for the full-back.

A report earlier today stated that Pep Guardiola’s side were ‘closing in’ on Cambiaso with a €60-65m bid expected. He is seemingly the man the Manchester City managed wants to improve their long-standing issue at left-back.

CM, reporting information from Sky Italia, report that their first offer will be around €60-65m. However, this will not be enough. Juventus want more as they consider Cambiaso a key player. In fact, they won’t go below €80m.

Guardiola is a big fan of the player, though, and it would be difficult for Cambiaso to ‘resist the temptation’ of working with him. The Premier League is also a major pull for the defender. He’s monitoring the situation for the time being, waiting for developments.

Manchester City have prepared a five-year contract with an option of a sixth. They made an initial exploratory survey but then ‘got serious’ with their big transfer offer.

That won’t be enough, and Juventus want at least €20m more but they are open to a sale. That will surely tempt Manchester City, who are spending big this month and now have their eyes firmly set on Cambiaso.
