Manchester City and Fulham are among the clubs in the picture for Club Brugge’s Ardon Jashari.
That’s according to Gazet van Antwerpen, and they cover Manchester City and Fulham interest in signing the 22-year-old.
The defensive midfielder impressed in his debut season and contributed four goals and six assists from 53 games for Club Brugge. He won the Pro League Player of the Year and Nieuwsblad Talent of the Season awards.
Back in January, he extended his contract until 2029. If there’s a transfer in the summer window, the newspaper states it has to be a record sale in Belgium. The current record is €37.5m which Club Brugge earned from Charles De Ketelaere’s sale to AC Milan in 2022.
The Switzerland international is happy with his life in Belgium and isn’t thinking about a transfer.
“At the moment I am certainly not thinking about a transfer. You never know in football, but I feel very good and happy here,” he said.
Despite this, GVA explain interested clubs can snatch him from the Jupiler Pro League side by making a ‘top bid’.
Fulham and a Middle East club have already expressed interest, but Jashari isn’t keen on joining a mid-table club or moving to the Middle East. His desire to join a top club and even then, he won’t move for the sake of it.
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in the player, and both can afford to pay the requested fee for him. At this moment in time, Pep Guardiola’s side or PSG haven’t held talks with Club Brugge.
As Jashari isn’t keen on joining Fulham, this gives Manchester City a clear advantage over Marco Silva’s side.
