Manchester City forward Patrick Roberts is set to join Troyes before the end of the transfer deadline tonight.
That’s according to Goal France journalist Marc Mechenoua, who says Roberts will be joining on a loan deal in the next few hours.
Roberts has been at Manchester City since joining from Fulham in a £6.48m deal in July 2015.
He has never played for Manchester City’s first team in the six years since, though, instead spending his time at the Etihad out on loan at Celtic, Girona, Norwich, Middlesbrough and then Derby County last season.

His contract with the club expires next summer, but it seems that has not changed City’s plans for him, with a move to France now on the cards.
Mechenoua reports he ‘should be loaned in the next few hours to Troyes’, suggesting a deal is already in place for the 24-year-old.
That’s all the detail he provides, meaning we’re sure to learn more in the coming hours, particularly if the loan includes a purchase option or clause to protect Manchester City given his contract situation.
