Eliaquim Mangala’s Manchester City exit will be made official soon, Marca makes clear on Monday evening.
The defender has been in Spain today going through a whole series of medical tests. Valencia brought in outside help because they were worried about the player’s injuries and lack of playing time in recent years.
Special attention was given to the Frenchman’s previous knee injuries and it was those tests which were carried out first, starting this morning, before the more routine medical work could begin.
Fortunately for all involved, Mangala has jumped all the medical hurdles placed in front of him, and Marca say he’s now pretty much a Valencia player.
That’s because an agreement was reached with Manchester City before he was allowed to travel out to Spain, so there’s nothing left to discuss.
It’s not made clear what sort of deal Mangala will be moving on, although the Spanish media have repeatedly stated he’s set for a hefty pay cut.
