With Ederson’s future currently uncertain at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola’s side could look to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer.
While a host of names have been linked with the Citizens, they are now said to be interested in Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, who spent time in Manchester United’s youth system.
TuttoSport, as relayed by CalcioNapoli24, have reported that the Serbian has a growing market due to his impressive performances for the Granata this season.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte is a big admirer, not just because Milinkovic-Savic is a very reliable shot stopper but also because of his ability on the ball.
This has brought about interest from Manchester City, who ‘have noted’ the 28-year-old goalkeeper’s name on their shortlist for the summer, in case Ederson does end up departing the Etihad.
The indication is that Torino will be open to doing business for the 6ft 7 Serbia international and would be prepared to listen to concrete offers for him during the summer transfer window.
Manchester City’s task can be easier because Milinkovic-Savic’s current deal at the Italian club runs out in the summer of 2026.
The goalkeeper is no stranger to playing in Manchester, as he spent two years in Manchester United’s youth academy between 2014 and 2016.
