It’s no secret, but Manchester City like David Alaba.
The interest comes from Pep Guardiola, who has worked with the Austrian defender during his stint at Bayern Munich, and there is no better time to make a move for him than in the coming months.
The left-back, who can also play in midfield, is out of contract next summer in Bavaria, and with a renewal far from being agreed, with some believing it might never happen, an approach could be made in January.
From that point onwards, Alaba would be free to speak to clubs regarding signing on a free, and there are a number expected to move.
Among those are likely to be Manchester City, as SportBild journalist Christian Falk took to social media to explain three clubs had a ‘concrete interest’ in the player: Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Manchester City.
Clubs with concret interest in Alaba at the moment: @PSG_inside, @juventusfc, @ManCity. Clubs Alaba would like to go to: @realmadrid @FCBarcelona

All three of them might need to be extra convincing, however, as he also revealed the clubs Alaba would like to go to are Barcelona or Real Madrid.
That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t sign for Manchester City, but more that the Etihad isn’t his first choice as things stand.
This could obviously change, however, if neither Zinedine Zidane nor Ronald Koeman make a move for him.
