Manchester City are looking to seal a deal for Dinamo Zagreb youngster Ante Coric, according to claims in the Croatian media. The 19-year-old has impressed for Dinamo Zagreb since he made his debut in 2014.
Vecernji have claimed Manchester City are hoping to sign Coric before next week’s transfer deadline, and the attacking midfielder may have played his last game for the Croatian team last night.
Coric came on as a second half substitute during Dinamo Zagreb’s victory over Red Star Salzburg in the Europa League ahead of his proposed move to England. His club have become resigned to the fact he will be heading to the Premier League, and it’s believed a deal now looks close.
Coric came through the Red Bull Salzburg youth system before finishing his apprenticeship with his current club. Since making his debut two seasons ago Coric has made 63 league appearance for Dinamo Zagreb, scoring 6 goals.
Coric has also represented Croatia on 2 occasions since making his debut this year. He’s been repeatedly linked with moves to England, and transfers being ‘very close’, and it remains to be seen if this time things are real.
