Manchester City are keeping tabs on Monza’s Nicolò Rovella, according to a report from Italy.
The Serie A side took the midfielder on a loan deal from Juventus in the summer transfer window. His decision to join them has paid off as the 20-year-old has undoubtedly become one of the key players for the club.
That’s what TuttoMercatoWeb are stating, and they add that Rovella’s form for Monza has ‘not escaped’ Manchester City.
It’s claimed the Premier League winners’ scouts have ‘closely followed’ the youngster’s ‘last games’ in recent weeks. Their feedback has been sent to Pep Guardiola, which has been ‘currently positive’ so far.
Manchester City, however, would find it difficult to sign the Italy U21 international since he is tied up to a contract at Juventus until 2026.
As it stands, the plan is for the player to return to his parent club so that he can be part of their squad next campaign because he represents the future of the Old Lady.
Rovella has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season for Monza, and it appears Manchester City will need a lot of money to convince Juventus to let their starlet leave in the near future.
