Ilkay Gündogan’s deal at Manchester City expires in June and he’s attracting interest from Barcelona.

Earlier on Tuesday, Sky Deutschland stated the 32-year-old has two options for his future; either to sign a new deal at the Etihad or move to the La Liga side.

Over at Mundo Deportivo, they say the midfielder’s renewal with Manchester City is stuck, which makes it possible for him to leave them in January or next summer. His chances to leave the club may grow if they end up signing Jude Bellingham.

The Premier League winners like the Borussia Dortmund star a lot and he could be key for them to part ways with the Germany international in the winter market.

The newspaper states Manchester City are ‘fighting’ to sign Bellingham. They add the Premier League winners ‘believe’ there is a 95% chance he will end up in England.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be joined by Liverpool in the race for the teenager. These two clubs don’t want to let the English talent escape them and will battle it out against each other for the ex-Birmingham City star’s signature.

City and other clubs interested in Bellingham will be encouraged to know that BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has admitted it will be difficult for them to compete financially with top European clubs.

“As soon as Qatar [World Cup] is over, we will have a fundamental discussion about what he actually wants. Then he should tell us whether he wants to stay or whether he wants to go,” Watzke was quoted as saying by TZ.

“We don’t have to pretend the issue isn’t on the table. If the really big clubs are there, we can’t afford a financial fight. We’re there if he wants to stay. Then we will try to find a solution.”
