Manchester City have an agreement for a new departure of Nahuel Bustos, according to reports from South America.
Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo today writes that the Premier League club shook hands with Tallares for the player’s return to Argentina.
Bustos is initially moving on a loan deal, and it’s not yet known if the spell is until June or December. Either way, there’ll still be an option to buy included.
The report claims the transfer was possible due to ‘the good predisposition’ from Manchester City and all others involved in the operation.
Nahuel Bustos joined Pep Guardiola’s side on a €6.5m deal in 2020, bought from the very same Tallares.
Back then, he didn’t even get a chance to stay in England, as he was immediately sent to Girona on a two-year loan.
Last summer, he joined Brazilian club São Paulo, but things didn’t go great there, as he didn’t have a good relationship with manager Rogério Ceni. During the spell, he had one goal in nine appearances.
Now back at Tallares, the striker is basically going home, with the possibility for a definitive move away from Manchester City this time.
