West Brom and Bournemouth were linked with Morgan Sanson at the end of December and since then there’s been sporadic articles detailing the player’s transfer situation.

In early January it was reported Sanson is aware of interest in signing him, and it was said to be leading him to assess his situation.

Currently with Montpellier, the 22 year old has a contract running out in June 2018, putting his club under some pressure. Sanson would almost certainly earn far more at West Brom or Bournemouth, so it’s little surprise if the player has been considering a change.

It’s not just West Brom and Bournemouth, there’s interest from elsewhere, including Marseille, and Montpellier’s manager thinks the player needs to concentrate.

On Sanson, Hantz is quoted by L’Equipe as saying: “Given all that is said about him, he will have a complicated second half of the season.

“He must be seen to keep his concentration.”

Sanson went off with an ankle injury early in the match on Sunday against Lyon. Montpellier lost that match 5-0, and L’Equipe believe not all the players took Hantz’s advice about returning back from the break fully fit.

Should West Brom and Bournemouth interest in Sanson be genuine then both clubs would easily be able to afford the finances of a deal. The ankle injury isn’t thought to be serious.
