West Ham United made an approach to Edin Terzic on Wednesday but the former Borussia Dortmund coach was not keen on the move.

That’s according to BILD, who say that the 42-year-old found the West Ham offer ‘not to his liking’.

The Hammers are believed to be looking for a new manager at this moment in time, with Kulen Lopetegui on the brink after a disappointing start to the season.

The Spanish boss was backed this week but a poor result in a huge relegation clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend could seal his fate.

Terzic has been one of the names linked with the position, with him available on a free after leaving Dortmund in the summer.

BILD report that West Ham ‘asked Terzic very specifically’ this week on Wednesday but found themselves quickly turned down.

Terzic, who led Dortmund to the Champions League final last season, was uninterested in taking charge of a team who currently sit 14th in the Premier League. He has his sights set higher than a side who are ‘languishing in lower mid-table’ at this point.

He ‘cancelled’ their offer and made it clear he wasn’t interested; despite the fact it would have been a kind of homecoming for him after his spell as assistant coach in 2016-17.
