With Manchester City confirming Sergio Aguero’s departure from the club at the end of the season, many of the transfer rumours in the past couple of days have been about the Argentina international.

Even though the striker has been linked to a few European giants, his free agent situation makes it possible for pretty much every club in the world to dream of his arrival.

There’s a specific club who’ve been involved in rumours with Aguero for years now, which is his former side Independiente. Now with this golden chance to have him back, the possibility is obviously being discussed in the Argentine media.

The Rojo’s manager Julio Falcioni was interviewed by TyC Sports on Tuesday, and talked about how good it would be to have the Manchester City star at his club.

It would be a pleasure to coach him again,” Falcioni told TyC Sports.

We’re calling him. We were talking with Yoyo, who’s going to call him to see if he feels like it. It’d be a pleasure to manage him again. Here he’ll not be able to sign something similar to what he earns there, but he’d be here again with friendly people, defending the colours that he wants.”

Falcioni sounded really excited about the possibility, already saying how better his side would be if Aguero joined them.

“The intention to call him will be to propose the return home, to the country, that he can be comfortable and help us to be a bigger Independiente”.

“It’s a possibility, but in the face of proposals from Europe… He’s been abroad for many years, it’d be good may he be back with all his affections and help us to be a better team.”

Meanwhile, reports from Brazil say the player have two offers from the MLS. One from Los Angeles FC and another from Los Angeles Galaxy.
