Morocco coach Walid Regragui has urged Hakim Ziyech to find a new club in January as he ‘deserves to be a starter in Chelsea’ but isn’t getting that.
Ziyech has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge since the summer, when AC Milan were pushing for his signature but could not get a deal over the line.
He’s again been linked with the Italian side in January, when it is expected he will be pushing for a move away once again.
The forward has struggled to establish himself under Graham Potter since his arrival, continuing his struggles for the Blues since his arrival from Ajax.
He managed to put himself in the spotlight at the World Cup in Qatar, though, playing a starring role in Morocco’s run to the semi-finals of the competition and demonstrating to a world audience that he is still very much a star player.
That is something coach Walid Regragui believes Chelsea boss Graham Potter should be taking note of, commenting on his player to Moroccan TV station Arryadia.
“With all due respect to Fiorentina, Amrabat must play in one of the top 10 clubs,” Viola News report him saying.
“Amallah and Ounahi will surely find better clubs and the same for Ziyech, who has shown what he can do, he deserves to be a starter in Chelsea.”
