Following the many rumours regarding Newcastle United’s pursuit of a new manager, we now get to see something very interesting coming from the Italian media today.

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is the one reporting the Magpies’ interest in signing Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers.

It’s claimed that Newcastle’s first objective is to sort out the managerial role, and the Foxes’ coach is the one in ‘pole position’ for the job.

Di Marzio even says how much it would cost the Magpies to sign Rodgers from Leicester City. That would be 16 million, and he doesn’t specify if it’s in pounds or euros, which is said to be the amount of his release clause.
