Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi is in direct battle with CEO Giuseppe Marotta over a move for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who say the Inter manager would prefer to sign the Tottenham man while Marotta is focused on Maxime Lopez.
The Champions League finalists are looking to add a midfielder to their squad before the end of the transfer window in an attempt to make Inzaghi’s squad more competitive.
They have two ideas on the table at this moment in time, one of them is Tottenham’s Ndombele and the other is Lopez.
The two Frenchmen are competing at this moment in time, and it’s led to a direct split between manager and CEO over the matter.
Inzaghi has given his go-ahead to either player arriving but has made it clear his ‘preference’ would be a move for the Tottenham man as he considers him the correct characteristic to complete his midfield.
Marotta, though, is eyeing up a move for Lopez and so they appear to be odds over which way to move before tomorrow’s deadline.
The choice will have to be made in ‘short time’, though, given the transfer window deadline is tomorrow, suggesting it could be a turbulent final day for Inter and potentially Spurs.
