Tottenham Hotspur are in the process of finding a new permanent manager after parting ways with Antonio Conte last month.
Earlier this month, De Telegraaf stated the north London club are interested in Arne Slot. Two days ago, Soccernews reported the Feyenoord manager ‘rises one place’ upwards in Spurs’ target list.
Former FC Twente coach John van ‘t Schip is of the belief Tottenham would be a ‘tough but beautiful challenge’ for Slot. He made these claims to Viaplay, relayed by Voetbal Primeur.
These “possibilities” were also made available to José Mourinho, Nuno Espírito Santo and Conte, who all failed to deliver at the Premier League side.
If Slot were to become the next Tottenham manager, Van ‘t Schip has warned Spurs that the 44-year-old would want to have players who would suit his style of play.
“But yes, all those other trainers have of course also had that. It is important that you make clear agreements. Slot also has certain types of players that he wants to play his game. So, he will want to buy and sell certain players when he comes. That will also be a process that does not happen overnight,” Van ‘t Schip explained.
Slot helped Feyenoord make it to the UEFA Conference League final last season and sit in a comfortable position to win the title this season. Feyenoord have an eight point lead over second placed Ajax.
