Feyenoord manager Arne Slot wants to leave for Tottenham this summer and his representatives have made that clear to the Dutch club.
That’s according to RTV Rijnmond, relayed by FR12.nl, who say the Dutch club will continue their efforts to secure a ‘high transfer fee’ for their manager.
Slot has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over the last few weeks, with his name seemingly creeping up their list of candidates to replace Antonio Conte as other names have fallen by the wayside.
It’s now at a point where he appears to be at the top of their wish list, with several reports in the Netherlands making it clear Tottenham have sought out talks with Feyenoord.
They report that there is currently a gap of ‘about €5m’ in terms of what Tottenham want to pay for Slot and what Feyenoord what to receive.
They are quotes as saying that “it cannot be ruled out that the Londoners are already willing to put the desired amount on the table in the short term”.
According to their information, Feyenoord held conversations with Slot’s representatives on Wednesday in the hope of offering a ‘much improved’ contract but his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, instead made it clear they wanted to ‘explore the possibilities’ of a move to Tottenham.
As a result, it now seems likely that he will be on his way to London at some point and that his last game in charge of Feyenoord will be against Vitesse on Sunday.
