A couple of days ago, the French media reported that Watford are interested in manager Francesco Farioli.
It was written by Foot Mercato that the Hornets were one of the clubs in the race for the Italian coach, who’s been unemployed since his departure from Alanyaspor in February.
It turns out it’s now the Turkish press who features a story on the manager’s future, as a piece from Karadeniz Gazete also mentions Watford.
With Trabzonspor also in need of a new coach, it’s claimed that their president Ertuğrul Doğan held a meeting with Farioli as a potential candidate, where he listed his ‘requests’.
There, he even heard the manager’s requests, but was told that it’s actually Watford who are a ‘priority’ for him.
Farioli is set to continue the negotiations with the Hornets, and only in case that possibility collapses, then Trabzonspor will have a chance to sign him.
Karadeniz Gazete writes that the coach’s priority is ‘not money’ as the salary wouldn’t be a problem for the Turkish side.
He’s actually more concerned about the project on the table, and it seems Watford are the most attractive option right now.
