According to Turkish newspaper Karar, Besiktas board and technical staff are very pleased with Mohamed Elneny’s performances and would like to keep him beyond this season.

The Arsenal loanee has been excellent for Besiktas since Sergen Yalcin took of the charge of the club in late January.

He’s helped his side to regain their form and Karar report Yalcin has been impressed with the Egyptian’s performances.

The Besiktas manager would like to keep the Arsenal owned player and he’s informed club’s president Ahmet Nur Cebi about his desire to have him for next season.

Besiktas have the option of making his move permanent for €18m at the end of his loan spell, but given the Turkish side’s poor financial situation this seems highly unlikely.

Previous reports in Turkey said he would be returning to the Emirates due to this buyout clause.

It seems the Black Eagles will try to find a way to keep the player at the club, perhaps with another loan.

Elneny’s contract at Arsenal will expire at the end of June 2022.
