Bournemouth will be interested in the signals coming from Brazil, as Luis Sinisterra produced another encouraging display for Cruzeiro.
After the match, manager Leonardo Jardim spoke openly about why the club brought him in. And his comments sounded like more than a short-term plan.
As reported by Globo Esporte, Jardim outlined that Cruzeiro’s plans for him are working as intended. “Our plan was always very clear from the start. There was only the possibility of bringing Sinisterra to Cruzeiro because he had many problems in the last two years. Our strategy was to sign a quality player who had many problems and try to rehabilitate him. That is what we are trying to do.”
He then said the club expected a long adaptation period. “We knew this year would be a year of adaptation. For next year, we expect him to perform at another level.”
Sinisterra joined on a one-year loan from Bournemouth with a purchase option. He has already played eleven matches and scored twice.
The Brazilian outlet recalls that he suffered two muscle issues after arriving. Cruzeiro managed his minutes carefully, adding time each week until he could contribute more consistently.
For Bournemouth, Jardim’s comments reinforce a pattern. The winger is now fit, involved and trusted. Cruzeiro speak as if they see him as a project for 2026 rather than a short-term fix.
That tone does not confirm anything, but it suggests the club may intend to push the process forward and position themselves to use the clause if his progress continues.
