Former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl is happy not to accept any new job offers for the time being, as he still has a year on his deal with the Saints.
That’s according to journaliast Peter Linden, who says the Austrian is ‘enjoying the break’ after being sacked by Southampton in November last year.
He was in charge of the Saints for four years, arriving after a spell at RB Leipzig in December 2018 and taking charge of 178 games before departing last year amid a relegation battle.
He’s been linked with new clubs consistently since that point, with him still well thought of in England despite the disappointing end to his time in charge at Southampton.
Linden now reports that that he is ‘enjoying the break’ in Seefeld, an Alpine town in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
He’s relaxing after ‘four years of stress’ in the Premier League and has treated any speculation about his future with a smile and nothing more than that.
He is happy to ‘not accept a job’ any time soon as the last contract he signed with Southampton still has a year left to run on it and he’s happy to sit and take those payments.
Perhaps that will change if a very attractive offer is presented to him but that’s yet to happen and he remains on vacation enjoying life in his homeland.
