Torino manager Ivan Juric ‘expects’ the club to finalise a deal for West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic for the January transfer window.
That’s according to La Stampa, relayed by Toro News, who say that the Torino manager is expecting his club to activate the €15m purchase clause in Vlasic’s loan deal from West Ham.
They explain that Juric ‘appreciates’ the Croatian midfielder, who joined on loan from the Hammers in the summer after being pushed down the pecking order at the London Stadium by the arrival of Lucas Paqueta.
They’ve been keen to make his move a permanent one for a while and negotiations have been on going with West Ham regarding the €15m purchase clause they included in the loan deal.
Torino would like to reduce that if they can and have been working to make it happen, with the figure a significant one for their budget and something they rarely pay out.
It seems, though, Juric is anticipating them simply paying up, with it explained that he ‘expects’ the club to ‘make this investment’ plus the €10m needed to sign fellow loanee Aleksey Miranchuk permanently.
He wants the club to avoid the mistake they made last summer in not signing Dennis Praet on a permanent basis from Leicester and so expects them to learn from that lesson.
