Sevilla manager Quique Sanchez Flores doesn’t care about using Tottenham youngster Alejo Veliz, with his loan deal proving to be as disastrous as the one for Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who cover the two players today and how Flores is sticking to his guns, and not introducing them into his team.
The newspaper explains that Veliz and Mejbri, who both joined on loan from Tottenham and Manchester United in January, continue to play ‘testimonial’ roles under the Sevilla manager at this moment in time.
Quique Sanchez Flores is ‘barely counting on them’ at this moment in time, making his reservations with Hannibal public from day one.
He also ‘doesn’t give a damn’ about Veliz, despite having spoken positively about the Tottenham youngster at a recent press conference.
He isn’t planning on changing his strategy to focus on them, raising further questions about why they were signed from Tottenham and Manchester United in the first place. At this point, Sevilla have only proven those who questioned the moves in January right.
Both moves appear to have been disastrous, with Hannibal managing just 89 minutes to date and Veliz 52 minutes, which is hardly the experience either were looking for.
