Towards the end of the summer window, Leeds United allowed Largie Ramazani to go out on loan to Valencia. He’s played 62 minutes from three games so far for the La Liga club.
At the weekend, the winger came off the bench in Los Ches’ 2-0 league win over Athletic Club Bilbao and was on the end of a heavy tackle from Unai Gómez.
Valencia will take on Espanyol in the league later today and the Leeds man is doubtful for this clash.
Manager Carlos Corberán raised doubts about the 24-year-old’s availability to face Espanyol after confirming the blow he suffered against Athletic. He spoke in his pre-match press conference, and Levante-EMV have relayed his comments.
“All players have the opportunity to play. The only question mark is Ramazani, and we will have to see if he makes the squad. We do not know if he will be available after the foul he suffered. We will not know if he will be ready to play because he took a blow to the ankle. Other than that, all players are options,” he said.
Although Corberán says Ramazani is doubtful, AS now report the Leeds owned player trained yesterday, although it’s not clear whether that was contact training.
It’s further claimed Ramazani will travel with the rest of the squad to Barcelona for the away league match, and if Corberán were to consider him, he’s likely to come off the bench as the winger hasn’t started for Valencia since joining them on August 28th.
The Whites will keep a close watch on the attacker’s current situation at Mestalla, and certainly won’t want his longer term fitness being risked.
