Since Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola was linked to the Leeds United job, the Spanish media couldn’t stop talking about the possibility.
The newest comments on the situation are brought by Radio Marca, as journalist Jon Prada had a few words on the topic.
On the Marcador show, he claims Leeds would offer a good scenario for Iraola to do well in the Premier League.
“The Premier League would be the perfect ecosystem for Iraola,” said Prada.
“It would be a shame for La Liga but Leeds would get a coach who would get very good results.”
Leeds United’s interest in Iraola was first reported by the English press, and despite the genuine excitement from the Spanish media, they haven’t yet confirmed that there are talks for his arrival at the Elland Road.
On Tuesday, it was first claimed that ‘no departure is expected’ at Rayo Vallecano. That’s because the manager is reportedly very satisfied with their current campaign in La Liga, and despite the big chances of his exit at the end of the season, that’s not something on his mind right now.
Then it was reported by Radio Marca that Leeds still haven’t made any calls to sign Iraola, so even if the interest is real, the chase is still in the early stages.
