Over the last month or so, Manchester United and Chelsea have been pushed forward as the main contenders for signing Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc has stressed there’s an agreement with the winger to let him leave, if certain conditions are met.

Last week, Sport1 reported the Red Devils and the west London club are the only two clubs ‘eligible’ to sign the 21-year-old in the next market.

Sancho starred in his side’s 3-2 win over RB Leipzig and was directly involved in all three goals scored. He managed a brace and an assist over the weekend and after the tie, he refused to talk about his future.

He also said: “I’m very happy here right now. I love the club and the fans.”

The England international’s latest comments would indicate he wouldn’t be against continuing at the Bundesliga next season.

Bild feels otherwise and even though the attacker has a contract until 2023, they state Sancho wants to return to England in the summer, a year after failing to get a move to Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and the Blues are once again named as suitors.

Dortmund, for their part, will not let the former Manchester City academy player leave for less than €100m. This, however, is a ‘difficult sum’ for the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea to match in the post pandemic transfer market.

Sancho has 14 goals and 18 assists in all competitions this season with Dortmund.
