Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur scouted the same player at the weekend, according to claims from Italy.

Newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport today features a short story about AS Roma star Tammy Abraham being an ‘objective’ for a few clubs.

It’s claimed that when the Giallorossi faced AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham all had emissaries there.

The outlet claims the ‘showcase was good’ for the player, who’s drawing big interest in his signing ahead of the summer.

There’s actually some good and bad news for Manchester United and Tottenham in this pursuit. The good is that Roma are ‘available’ to talk about Abraham’s sale this summer.

The bad is that his price could get quite high. Gazzetta claims that the Giallorossi will only listen to bids worth €80m, which is the price of his release clause and seems vastly inflated.

As usual, it’s recalled that Chelsea still get the chance to match any bids and win the race for the 25, as that was agreed when he moved to Italy in 2021. But at this stage, there seems to be no signs of interest from the Blues.
