Islam Slimani’s desire to cut short his loan stay at AS Monaco has caught attention of top clubs across Europe, particularly from the Premier League.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, along with Inter are interested in the Leicester City owned player. Earlier today, we covered claims from FcInterNews the Red Devils met his agent.

Le10 Sport have now come up with a latest update and they state Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and Spurs were ‘hoping to get him on loan’ for the second half of the season, which we all already knew.

The Foxes don’t want to sanction the 31-year-old’s move to another Premier League side because Brendan Rodgers and co. don’t want to strengthen either United or Tottenham.

According to the report, Inter also haven’t take the necessary steps to sign the attacker and therefore, Slimani is expected to finish the season with the Ligue 1 side.

The Algeria international has managed seven goals and seven assists in 13 league matches for Monaco so far this season.
