Manchester United continue to be labelled as one of the main contenders for the signing of Gonçalo Ramos from Benfica.
As most of the Portuguese media today talks about the striker’s recent form, they point out his renewal with the Eagles is nearly done, with everything agreed for an extension.
However, newspaper Correio da Manhã brings a different story about the situation. They claim Ramos is actually ‘unhappy’, as he’s ‘irritated’ that the promise for a new contract wasn’t fulfilled yet.
It’s claimed Benfica president Rui Costa promised the new deal at the start of the season, and the pay raise hasn’t been given so far.
Even though there should be developments soon, the striker has shown his ‘discontent’ with club and manager.
Speaking of his future, it’s said Manchester United are the club who have shown ‘most interest’ in the player, even though Real Madrid follow him as well.
Ramos scored two goals and made one assist in Benfica’s Champions League clash against Brugge at the weekend, and that only brought more attention around him.
So Manchester United better be prepared for his price, because according to Correio da Manhã, the Eagles want an ‘astronomical sale’ with him in the summer.
