Man United have ‘spoken’ with 30+ goal player about transfer – €75m+ offer would get club ‘thinking’

Earlier on Thursday, we carried a report from L’Equipe, who discussed Manchester United’s interest in RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku.

It was also explained the club’s interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, was ‘surprised’ the Red Devils have not identified him as a target.

Manchester United wanting the versatile forward is further discussed by Bild, who also go on to provide an update on the 24-year-old’s plans for the future.

It’s claimed the France international, who has scored 31 goals and registered 20 assists from 48 matches in all competitions this season, would like to leave the Bundesliga side in the summer.

Nkunku is represented by Pini Zahavi, who is ‘considered very busy’. At the moment, the German club have received ‘no offer’ for their prized asset. Taking his performances and impressive statistics into account, Bild suggest it is ‘only a matter of time’.

The report further adds an offer in excess of €75m could lead the Leipzig bosses to ‘start thinking’, likely about the player’s possible sale. The price tag makes Paris Saint-Germain hesitate.

Leipzig, for their part, want to extend his contract. The new deal will see his annual wages increase from €3m to €8m and it will also include a €65m release clause that will come into effect from 2023.
