Manchester United’s first moves to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting were on the front page of Lisbon newspaper A Bola this Sunday.

According to the outlet, the Red Devils want to avoid the competition for the player and have scheduled a meeting with his representatives this week.

As Sporting’s intention is to keep Fernandes for one more season, they would negotiate pointing out to the midfielder’s €100m release clause. However, some amounts can’t be refused, and the newspaper considers that €60-70m would be enough to take him from Alvalade.

Regarding the competition for Fernandes, A Bola names Chelsea, Liverpool and Milan as the other interested sides, but the chase from none of these clubs has gone as far as Manchester United’s.

Clubs like Chelsea, Everton and Liverpool all got linked to Bruno Fernandes in the past couple of months, with many stories being covered by Sport Witness, but the talks have never been so important so the story would go to the first page. So we bet A Bola knows something serious is going on with the Old Trafford side here.
