Le Parisien go with an article on Thursday which questions Paul Pogba’s starting place with France.

The midfielder is said to be going through a ‘difficult period’ at Manchester United and it’s explained his ‘tense relations’ with manager Jose Mourinho could end up threatening his place in the national team.

Pogba arrived at France’s training base this week with a new flash haircut and was all smiles, leading Le Parisien to believe he wants to leave his club difficulties behind him and have some fun with France.

However, it’s explained there’s some argument for a defensive partnership of Kante-Matuidi, and depending on how Didier Deschamps sets up, it could see Pogba pushed out of the team.

It’s all ‘could’ and Le Parisien themselves don’t even think it’s the likely scenario, they’re just talking up the possibility.

Chatter about Pogba and the French team isn’t simply a product of the reported Mourinho spat, there’s long been doubts thrown at the player but now he’s having a high profile Manchester United issue they can be stuck to that.
