To no one’s surprise, since he isn’t really used by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, Donny van de Beek seems to want out from Old Trafford.

The Dutchman is being linked with a number of clubs, both in the Premier League and abroad, with Juventus the latest recurring name to be associated with the midfielder.

In need of a midfielder and eyeing up Aurélien Tchouaméni, who would cost a lot, the Serie A side are also looking at alternatives, which is where van de Beek comes in.

According to Corriere dello Sport, contacts with the Manchester United player’s entourage are ‘intensifying’, with the former Ajax starlet described as being ‘at odds’ with the Red Devils, and ‘he will leave in January’.

The problem for Juventus is that he has ‘a lot of market’ from clubs around Europe, but ‘in case of an opening to the loan’, the Italians ‘will try to sink the blow’, meaning they will make a definitive move for him.

We’ll have to wait and see what Manchester United’s stance is for their player going into the January market, and what the man himself wants to do.

Despite his frustration, he could want to continue to try and fight for a spot at the club, but the likeliest option would likely be for him to head out on loan, at least until the end of the season, just to give him a chance of making Louis Van Gaal’s Netherlands squad for the 2022 World Cup, and to ensure he doesn’t stagnate more than he already has.
