Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has landed in Rome to sign for Lazio, according to local reports this afternoon.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says the player arrived in the Italian capital at 6:10PM local time, and is joining the Serie As side on a loan deal.
He says the Brazilian will have his medical with Lazio on Friday morning, confirming the reports from earlier today.
Andreas Pereira is already posing to pictures with a club scarf, so at this stage, it’s not really a secret he’s signing for them.
However, the details regarding Lazio’s option to buy him are still to be confirmed. Reports from Brazil says the Italian club would have to spend €27m at the end of the season.
Following his time at Manchester United’s academy, Andreas Pereira had consecutive loans in Spain between 2016 and 2018, where he featured for Granada and Valencia.
In the two last seasons, he ended up having regular minutes for the Old Trafford side, and made 75 appearances for the club. But that wasn’t enough to convince Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he deserves a place in the squad this year.
