Manchester United are certainly the Premier League club who conduct the strongest scouting job in Portugal, so it’s no surprise that they were present at the Estádio do Dragão on Thursday night.

Porto played Lazio in the Europa League’s round-of-32, and according to newspaper A Bola, the Red Devils were one of the clubs who had scouts at the match.

The Dragons managed to find a comeback for a 2-1 win, and despite the many talents on the pitch, the report doesn’t have any details on who Manchester United could be keeping an eye on.

From the players involved in this game, there’s only one who’s been linked with an Old Trafford move. That’s Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with this rumour going on for a while.

The midfielder, who captained the away side, had a positive performance, especially in the first half, when Lazio managed to open the score and control the midfield.

Manchester United were recently said to be ‘in front row’ and ‘on pole’ to sign Milinkovic-Savic in the summer, as he’s expected to leave the Serie A side for over €70m.

Manchester United haven’t been recently linked to any Porto players, apart from Luis Diaz, who in January completed a move to Liverpool.

Now in case the Red Devils were watching out for any good performances from the home side, they may have been impressed by a few players. Goalkeeper Diogo Costa had a good performance, while right-back João Mário delivered two assists for the brace scored by striker Toni Martinez.
