On Monday, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent, Mateja Kezman, revealed quite a few prestigious clubs were after his client towards the end of last season, hinting at interest from Real Madrid, Manchester United and AC Milan.

Admittedly, he did say ‘Madrid, Manchester and Milan’, meaning it could be the other clubs in those cities, but generally, those are the three that come to mind when just the cities are referred to, with Atlético, City and Inter commonly used in Europe to refer to their respective rivals.

Kezman also suggested Milinkovic-Savic could leave Lazio at the end of the season, and that appears to have sent the rumour mill into a bit of an overdrive, with Calciomercato.com reporting some news of their own involving the Serbian midfielder.

According to the Italian website, both Bayern Munich and Manchester United sent scouts on Sunday to observe the 22-year-old against Genoa.

José Mourinho, who is said to have been ‘enchanted’ by the midfielder’s development last season, sees the Lazio starlet as an ideal player for the Premier League and the football he wants to play at Old Trafford.

Calciomercato state Milinkovic-Savic is becoming more and more of a target for the Red Devils as the months go by, with the Special One ‘ready to launch an offensive’ in the summer, as there is zero chance of the Serbia international leaving Rome in January.

Furthermore, the Italian website state Lazio value their starlet at around €70m, an amount Manchester United have shown they aren’t afraid to spend on one player if he is the right one for the job.

Whatever he ends up going for, it’ll be a huge profit for the Serie A side, who ‘only’ paid Genk €10m for him back in 2015.
