On Wednesday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Manchester United’s director of football operations and Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilo met in Ibiza and ‘agreed on the timing’ for André Onana’s potential transfer.
Prior to his trip to Ibiza, Ausilo was in England to hold talks with the Red Devils over a deal for the goalkeeper.
After these meetings, Corriere dello Sport state the Serie A director has found out that Manchester United could make an official offer for Onana between Saturday and Sunday.
It’s claimed Erik ten Hag’s side are waiting for David de Gea’s deal to expire on Friday, to make an official approach for the Cameroonian.
Corriere state the Nerazzurri have set a €60m valuation on the 27-year-old. This figure could be ‘lowered’ by including easily achievable bonuses.
Meanwhile, Gazzetta dello Sport explain that Ausilo will have a new meeting with Onana’s agent in Ibiza between today and tomorrow, where they should, ‘in principle define’, the player’s fate.
The newspaper further adds Manchester United have ‘decided to pay’ the €50m plus bonuses requested by Inter for Onana.
