“Prince William” is the headline of an article from A Bola on Monday. As the Portuguese midfielder had a good performance against Austria, the newspaper took all the praise from the English media to justify talk of a move to the Premier League once again.

A Bola have selected comments from The Mirror, ESPN, BBC, HITC Sports, The Guardian, Rio Ferdinand and even tweets from Manchester United fans to show that the 24-year-old should have a chance in English football.

Then the newspaper writes that the fans know that Carvalho once was on Manchester United’s agenda, and are asking for him not only because of his good performance, but also due to José Mourinho’s appointment as the new manager.

A Bola claims that William Carvalho currently has a €45m release clause, but if Sporting reject any offers bigger than €35m, the club must pay the player €5m due to a clause on his contract.

Carvalho didn’t have a brilliant season at Portugal, and with many other young talents showing up, the midfielder hasn’t been as strongly linked with a move as he once was.

However, A Bola took the first chance to show that Manchester United were interested in him once, and if he keeps his good form, the move is still possible.

At least for the Twitter fans.
