Rasmus Højlund’s impressive displays for Atalanta have seen him drawn attention from top clubs across Europe, including Manchester United.
The forward joined the Serie A side last summer and enjoyed a good debut season in Italy, managing seven goals and two assists in all competitions.
His suitors list continues to grow and Manchester United are now added to it, if a report from Tipsbladet is to be believed.
Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli and Real Madrid are the 20-year-old’s well-known admirers and these clubs are joined by the Red Devils. It’s further claimed Erik ten Hag’s side are ‘very interested’ in the Denmark international.
With Anthony Martial struggling with injuries this season, Wout Weghorst and Marcus Rashford have operated up-front in recent times. The Dutchman is on loan from Burnley and Manchester United are likely to part ways with him after this season.
In need of a new striker in the summer, Højlund has been identified as one of the targets. Although Manchester United are showing interest, like other clubs, in the Atalanta player, there is ‘still a long way’ to go before they can carry out Højlund’s signing.
