Manchester United are reportedly one of the clubs interested in Atalanta striker Duván Zapata.
The information is brought today by Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, who has a short story about the 28-year-old.
They say he continues to be a player much talked about in the transfer market, and also continues to be held by his club, despite the offers he has from abroad.
Zapata is playing for Atalanta on a two-year loan deal from Sampdoria, for which the club have paid a fee of €14m. Now they have an option to buy him until 2020.
He’s been doing pretty well for Atalanta, with 28 goals in his first season and another three in the current one.
It’s not something common to see Manchester United being linked to players of this age, but since the Red Devils are full of injuries in the squad and are reportedly after a striker, perhaps that’s an option which would make some sense.
West Ham are also mentioned in the report, although they’ve been linked several times already.
